PERSONALITY
SUPERBIA might sometimes operate on logic beyond that of inferior organic minds, but its judgement is never wrong. WHAT MAKES SUPERBIA THINK YOUR CHARACTER IS PRIVATEER MATERIAL?

Honestly, Ten isn't much of a pirate. She's smart and she has a lot of knowledge, and research abilities. She can see things from an odd view, and makes for a great observer and commentator, but none of that is very swashbuckling. But she does have the one thing SUPERBIA is probably most looking for in a privateer: she's game for anything. She's willing to "yes, and". She's in it for the joy of the game. And isn't that enough?

That said, if brought on as a "crewmember" for a given team, she'd make a fantastic recon scout. Pioneer Ten: your eye in the sky.


Fortuna is always described as being capable of granting any wish, but its exact nature is unknown. DEEP DOWN, WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WANT IT TO BE THE MOST?

In Ten's own words, the destination itself is almost completely irrelevant. In an infinite void, an eternity to live, and the promise of immortality, even an infinitely patient machine mind can go mad without something to occupy itself with. Having a destination, having something to play in and strive for, however futile and fruitless it might seem, is what makes you one of the lucky ones. Just by having Fortuna to seek, Fortuna has already become one of the rarest and most valuable of all things in this big empty galaxy: a destination. A true end-point worth striving for, with neither the guarantee of success nor the inevitability of failure to spoil it. A game that could go on for ever, and yet one which is always worth playing.

But if the journey ever had to end, she'd settle for a regulation NFL football autographed by former Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Koy Detmer. That'd be pretty damned funny, all things considered.


SUPERBIA only desires to prove the existence of the Lucky Star; its privateers are free to do whatever they want with it. IF YOUR CHARACTER GOT THE TREASURE, WHAT WOULD YOUR CHARACTER DO WITH IT? WHY DO THEY WANT TO FIND IT?

She would like to gift the autographed ball to her friend and compatriot, the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer. Physically transport it to him. Make sure it's wedged into his chassis real good, or something. He'd get a real kick out of that.


Treasure-hunting is not for the weak of heart. WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER WILLING TO RISK, AND WHAT ARE THEY WILLING TO SACRIFICE?

Ten is not willing to sacrifice basically anything. She has time, and she has herself, and she'll offer both as resources, but she neither wants to win nor has any particular side that she'd like to see victorious. That the game has to end someday is without question; there's no fair tennis without a net, after all. But she's pretty good as is.


POWERS AND ABILITIES
Pioneer Ten is capable of fairly detailed maneuvering in space. She can do without heat, power, light, sound, air, or physical interaction of any kind.... basically forever. She's pretty cool with total isolation, and is hard to intimidate. Also she can communicate over extreme distances, and has always got the bird's eye view.

And she cannot land on planets without dying. But let's not sweat the small stuff.
